about me &
My name is Joe Brincks, I am the photographer, pilot and creator of Seventy One 30 LLC.
After 25 years living beyond Carroll County, my wife Angela and I have happily returned to our home state of Iowa, We were excited and had been wanting this for some time now.
The opportunities the small town of Carroll had given me were overlooked. My teenaged self wanted to move away, never get married, and never have kids. I ate those statements like I was starving. Brincks, party of 5! Carroll is now home sweet home.
Carroll is found intersecting at highways 71 & 30, (hence the name). Seventy One 30 was born from the combination of my hobbies and piloting RC systems and the passion of photography. 2012 I flew my first drone, no GPS or a camera. Drone advancements have come a long way in such a short time. My hobby experience in flying RC airplanes, helis and quads helped make an easy decision to begin the business. Offering the area and local communities this type of service. Drones will be an inevitable and necessary addition to our future. Drones or UAV’s (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) are becoming more common. Many kids and adult kids have or had some version of a drone, or resembles one. High costs of quality units and gravity, can be very overwhelming for many people interested in learning to fly. Recently the FAA has begun to deploy stricter rules and regulations. This is to maintain the safety aspects of this low altitude type of flight. Safety is a vital part of these operations and should be followed by all drone pilots and observers. The FAA and DOT ask that all drones be treated with the same respect as any other aircraft.
I AM CERTIFIED, and carry the DOT issued license, operating under PART 107 of FAA aircraft regulation. This allows me to legally fly the drone just about anywhere. Obviously there are limitations and they can get complicated in certain locations so research is necessary before piloting any location never flown. Special permissions may be required for regulated areas. I intend to uphold and follow these rules to the best of my ability. Safety is priority!
In the privacy aspects, the FAA is very vague, but for simple reason. In summary, it states that the pilot has to determine if the actions of the flight plan will be regarded as an intrusion of someones privacy. There are no laws that govern taking pictures outside, anyone can. Whether in the air or on the street, a picture is a picture. As the pilot and photographer I promise to conduct all flights with the privacy of the community in mind.
If I witness criminal activity, assault or questionable actions, I will not hesitate to call law enforcement. I encourage everyone to stay vigilant, if you see something, say something.

Joe Brincks
